Pakistan and Bahrain reaffirmed their commitment to improve security cooperation during a high level meeting in Manama on Saturday between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his counterpart of Bahrain, the sheikh the Sheikh Rashid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, according to Radio Pakistan.
The two maintained detailed discussions about the improvement of collaboration in terrorism, Antarcotic and the combination of human trafficking. Both ministers agreed to make the Joint Security Committee of Pakistan-Bahrein more effective and results oriented.
General Al Khalifa appreciated continuous cooperation between the two nations, noting that Bahrein greatly values his security association with Pakistan.
Naqvi highlighted the urgency of expanding joint efforts in counter-mirror operations and antihuman traffic, emphasizing that the increase in collaboration in these areas is essential to address shared challenges.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of Bahrain, including the Deputy Minister of the Interior and the Head of Public Security, Ambassador of Pakistan in Bahrain Saqib Rauf and other diplomatic personnel.
Previously, Naqvi received a warm welcome upon arrival at Bahrein International Airport and then received an honor guard at the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior, Fuerte de Manama.
