Ellen Degeneres has spoken in support of his comedian partner Rosie O’Donnell after a controversial comment made by the president of the United States, Donald Trump.
Degeneres shared a publication on Sunday with a screenshot from Trump’s recent statement along with O’Donnell’s bold response. “Well for you, @rosie,” Ellen wrote in a sample of solidarity.
The dispute revived after Trump said he was considering revoking the US citizenship of O’Donnell, calling it “a threat to humanity.”
“Due to the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not the best for our great country, I am seriously considering its citizenship. It is a threat to humanity and should remain in the wonderful country in Ireland, if you want it. God bless the United States!” Read Trump’s statement.
Although Trump cannot legally revoke his citizenship due to the protections under the 14th amendment, O’Donnell dared to proceed.
“Hey, Donald, did you shaken again? 18 years later and still live without rent in that collapse brain of yours. You are called a threat to humanity, but I am everything you fear,” O’Donnell began in his Instagram publication.
“Do you want to revoke my citizenship? He continues and tries, King Joffrey with a tangerous treading. I am not yours for silence. I never went,” he added.
In a follow -up post, O’Donnell explained his decision to move to Ireland earlier this year with his 12 -year -old son, Clay, citing that his decision was in response to the current administration policies.
“The president of the United States has always hated the fact that I see him for what he is, a criminal scammer who abuses a liar to damage our nation to serve himself,” the television personality wrote.
“That’s why I moved to Ireland,” he continued. “He is an old man without a dangerous soul with dementia who lacks compassion and basic humanity empathy. I am in direct opposition [to] Everything that represents, so do millions of others. O’Donnell has criticized for a long time with Trump’s policies and his administration, but the position occurred in the middle of the public protest about the death of Jeffery Epstein, who was accused of multiple crimes related to sexual trafficking of minors, with which the Trump administration was badly handling the investigation into the case.
