LAHORE:
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s principal minister (KP), Ali Amin Gandapur, said Sunday that Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) founder (PTI), Imran Khan, was willing to hold conversations with those who “have real power”, since the game formally launched a movement to restore democracy and the launch of Khan.
However, some key members of the governments led by the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) in the center, as well as in Punjab, immediately rejected the offer, saying that the founder of PTI would have to maintain dialogue with the political forces, if you wish.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore together with high -ranking PTI leaders, Gandapur emphasized that former Prime Minister Imran Khan would only participate in the dialogue with the interested parties who have a real decision -making authority.
“Imran Khan has made it clear: the dialogue will only happen with those who have the mandate,” he said. “It doesn’t matter if they [the establishment] Invite those who formed the governments through form 47 to sit in the negotiations or not, “he said.
Gandapur said that although the game had remained active in the last two years, it was now embarking on a 90 -day structured national campaign, which would culminate in an important milestone on August 5.
“This protest is not for the political mileage, this is a battle for the constitutional rights of the people,” he said. “For August 5, our goal is to bring this movement to its maximum point. After that, we will decide if we continue policy under current conditions.”
Gandapur condemned what he described as a “fascist repression” renewed in the PTI and his followers. He claimed that party workers were subjected to torture after the events of May 9, 2023, since the authorities continued to suppress their constitutional right to protest.
The prime minister reiterated the position of the party that there was no legal basis for the cases instituted against the founder of the Imran Khan party. “The courts have not proceeded because there is nothing to proceed. Our leader is innocent,” Gandapur said.
Criticizing the role of state institutions, Gandapur accused them of overreach and undermining democracy. He affirmed that the State’s actions against PTI had failed due to the growing public awareness. “The nation demonstrated on February 8 that it is fully aware of what is happening,” he added.
In a strong rebuke to Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who said on Saturday that any change in KP came from within the game, Gandapur challenged Fazl to play partial elections in his hometown of Dera Ismail Khan against his brother, Faisal, and if he [Fazl] He won [Gandapur] I would leave politics.
Gandapur dismissed the claims of any internal division within the PTI, calling them a narrative designed to weaken the part. “We can have disagreements, but our mission is united: the release of Imran Khan and the restoration of Pakistan,” he said.
On the occasion, the secretary general of PTI SALMAN AKRAM RAJA echoed this position, stating that the unity of the party in Lahore demonstrated unwavering support for Khan. “His release is not just the objective of the party, it is the demand of the nation. February 8 will not be forgotten,” Raja said.
Concluding the press conference, Gandapur renewed his negotiation offer, urging “the beneficiaries of the system” to arrive at the negotiating table. He warned that if the dialogue did not take place in good faith, “each guilty demonstrated actor will have to face the consequences, not just PTI.”
Reacting to the Gandapur press conference, the Federal Minister of State and Border Regions (Safron) Amir Muqam declared that those who always escaped from the negotiating table were now ironically talking about dialogue.
He dismissed the 90 -day ultimatum of Gandapur as mere theatricality. “Gandapur has no real authority. The 90 -day campaign of the PTI is simply a tactic to save the provincial government, which is already threatened by internal dissent. His campaign has failed even before he began,” he said.
“The nation has rejected its policy of sitting, long marches and violence. These are only desperate movements driven by its lust by power,” he said. “If Imran Khan really seeks dialogue, he must first bow before the law, admit his mistakes and regret the policy of hate,” he added.
He said that the people of KP demanded responsibility for the 11 -year rule of PTI in the province. “Gandapur must respond first to the people of the KP. You have seen the development in Lahore, what have you done in your own province?” asked.
Speaking with the media in Faisalabad, the Minister of State of the Interior, Talal Chaudhry, said that the establishment did not want to be part of any political process and that if the PTI wanted to hold conversations, it must return to the negotiation process initiated by the president of the National Assembly earlier this year.
Speaking at a press conference at Lahore, Punjab Minister of Information, Azma Bukhari, said that political affairs were established through dialogue between political leaders. “It is an established fact: you have to talk to political people, and dialogue occurs only among politicians,” he said.
The provincial minister criticized the PTI and its founder, Imran Khan, stating: “We have seen many deadlines and called to Imran Khan’s protest. Any protest really happened? Did anyone even come out on the streets?”
