The Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmira (Iiojk) Indians, Omar Abdullah, was forced to climb the boundary wall of the Mazar-E-Shuhaada in Naqshband Sahib in Srinagar to present respect to the martyrs of July 13, 1931 in the middle of restrictions.

On July 13, 1931, around 22 Cunemiris were martyred by the Dogra Maharaja troops for appearing outside the central prison in Srinagar in support of Abdul Qadeer, who was accused of instigating people to challenge the dogra rule.

The Indian forces sealed the cemetery and imposed restrictions on the movement of political leaders, preventing Kashmir leaders from visiting the site on the anniversary of a 1931 uprising.

Taking to X, Abdullah wrote: “I presented my respects and offered Fatiha in the tombs of the martyrs of July 13, 1931. The not chosen government tried to block me, which forced me to walk from Nawhatta Chowk. They blocked the door to the SB Naqshband SB sanctuary, forcing me to climb a wall. They tried to physically grab me.”

Speaking to the media later, he said that a security bunker was placed outside his residence to avoid his visit. “Today I did not inform anyone. I drove myself here myself,” he added.

The images of the scene also showed the main leader of NC Sakina Itoo arriving at the site with a Scooty.
