The first base of the New York Mets star, Pete Alonso, wants to introduce a rule that would bring fights to the major leagues.

Alonso, 30, said he does not believe that players should be expelled for loading the mound and fighting.

“If there is a rule that could change, I don’t think people are expelled after charging the mound and fighting. I think it should be the hockey style,” Alonso said at a press conference on Tuesday.

The five times All-Star emphasized that the fight would have to be a player in front of a player to avoid injuries as much as possible. Alonso said that when fights occur and the two whole teams are in the field in a Moshpit, it is when players can hurt.

Alonso also suggested that for a player who was not willing to fight if he was accused by an opposite player, he could effectively give and opt for.

“I think there is a rule if you want to leave and load the mound, then you should be able to do it, but if the pitcher or hitter or whoever charges and if they do not want to fight, they kneel, and they do not have to fight,” Alonso said.

“If someone comes out and surrounds, then it’s like whatever, then both go on their way separately, that is what would change about the game.”

However, in Alonso’s proposed rule, if a player loses the fight decidedly, he is expelled from the game while the winner remains in the game.

In the NHL, regardless of who wins the fight, both players receive a five -minute penalty for fighting.

On Alonso’s stage, a player could win a fight against a pitcher after being beaten by a release and then going to the first base and staying in the game, while the pitcher, after losing his fight, would leave the game.

The MLB commissioner, Rob Manfred, has made a lot of changes of rules in his mandate, but none as drastic as Alonso’s suggested rule.

Alonso has been excellent this season for the METS, since it is in the middle of a professional year. Star Slugger has an average.
