Caitlin Clark was discarded from Wednesday night’s competition against New York’s freedom only a few hours before warning after Indiana’s fever aggravated her injury to groin at night in the victory of Connecticut Sun.

Clark’s absence will mark the third time this season that the current rookie of the WNBA year has been marginalized by an injury.

Five games were lost in May after suffering a quadruple lesion, and more recently lost a handful of time with a tension of the left groin.

Clark was injured at the end of the fourth quarter of Indiana’s 85-77 victory over the Sun in Boston after passing the ball to help in the final basket of the fever. When he turned to walk on the court, he grimaced while grabbed his left leg. The emotional star covered his head with a towel while staying in the bank.

After the game, chief coach Stephanie White was asked about the physical game apparently aimed at Clark. Although I was not injured in such a work, White admitted that Clark will need to discover ways to “adjust” and use it for its advantage.

“There is a level of physicality with which they can play against her. I knew it as an opponent, and I see it as your coach. I am not exactly sure why, it is what it is,” he said. “We have to help her learn to adapt and use them against them in certain ways. We have to find some ways to make it a little easier for her.”

It is true that White added that WNBA as a whole has seen more physical game on the court than ever.

“The level of physicality in general in our league has been at a different level from the one that has long been.”

Clark never lost a game throughout his career in Iowa or in his first season at the WNBA.

His last injury occurs immediately after the All-Star Break, where Clark was appointed captain in the star game. Clark must also compete in the 3 -point contest on Friday.
