NYT Strands Today (game #501) – The answers
The responses to today’s threads, game #501 are …
- Boxes
- MEZZANINE
- LOBBY
- BALCONY
- AT
- ORCHESTRA
- Spangram: Theaters
- My qualification: Easy
- My score: 1 track
I did not see the Spangram theaters immediately, possibly because I am connected to see the spelling of the United Kingdom. Instead, I saw several words in heat, heater and heater. Then, I took the lazy option to start with a track.
The boxes did not help me reduce things much, but it made me think we were looking for something about places and auditorium. Seeing two Zs letters together helped me get a mezzanino, a word sounds lovely, and once I got the lobby I knew that we were looking for words associated with the theaters.
It is a bit strange that lacks “scenario” in the search, since you cannot have a theater without one, but that is my only objection.
Yesterday Nyt Strands responses (Wednesday, July 16, game #500)

- STOP
- NEEDLE
