- A new Samsung users survey has appeared
- Suggest Magsafe style load for future galaxy phones
- The devices that only charge wirelessly are also mentioned
All the best Android phones admit the wireless load, of course, but they still do not have the magnetic functionality of SNAP ‘of Magsafe style for loaders and accessories that you get with iPhones, and that is something that Samsung could be planning to change.
An official Samsung survey sent to users and seen by Sammyguru makes some interesting questions: how useful the Magsafe style load for you would be, and you would care about an additional thickness of the phone if that meant that the magnets could be installed inside? (If you did not get the survey, you can say your opinion by letting us know what this article thinks below).
There is also a mention that the “only wireless load” is compatible, suggesting that Samsung is eventually considering the wiring load on its Galaxy phones, at least for some of the models in its range.
Of course, none of this proves nothing or guarantees future characteristics, it is only a user survey, but it is an intriguing indication of what Samsung executives are considering when it comes to loading options on phones such as the Galaxy S25.
Coming soon
The high -end Android phones in the market at this time make use of the Qi2 wireless load, as they do the best iPhones. While Qi2 really admits the broken magnetic, Android manufacturers have not yet implemented that part of the standard.
There is compensation to do, as indicated by the Samsung survey. Adjusting magnets on a phone to admit Magsafe style features can add thickness and weight to a device, as well as increase the cost, which is perhaps that is why Apple did not add Magsafe to the 16E iPhone.
It is possible that Samsung is not the only Android phone manufacturer to move the switch in this additional Qi2 function, as Apple has done. It is rumored that Google will present its own version of Magsafe to the Pixel 10 series, completed with some ‘pixelsnap’ accessories.
As for Samsung, we have not seen any change of wireless load or wiring in the recently presented Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Galaxy Z Flip 7, so if he decides to launch his own version of Magsafe, he could appear first in the Samsung Galaxy S26 next year.
