- A source of good reputation states that the first beta of iOS 26 public will obtain around July 23 or around July 23
- That would be later in the year of the usual
- There is already a beta developer of iOS 26
Now more than a month has passed since iOS 26 was announced, and although it is available in Beta developer, the public beta has not yet been launched. But now we have a good idea of when the first public beta version could land.
According to Apple’s observer, Mark Gurman, in a response to a publication on X from @parkerortolani, the first public beta of iOS 26 will probably land around July 23 or around July 23.
That is a bit unusual, since we would normally have had the first public beta version before that. For example, the first public beta version of iOS 18 was launched on July 15 of last year, after its announcement on June 10. Then, this year, with iOS 26 it was presented on June 9, if we hope to have the first public beta.
A wait is worthwhile
Even so, if Gurman is right, there is not much more to wait, and it should also be worth waiting, since iOS 26 is a significant update for the Apple smartphone operating system.
It includes a completely new aspect, with more rounded and transparent elements, in addition to redesigned camera and camera applications, a new Apple Games application and more.
Of course, we would take the claim that we would land around July 23 or around a pinch of salt, especially with that later than normal. But Gurman has an excellent information about Apple’s information, and anyway we would expect it to arrive soon.
However, if you can’t wait a little longer for longer, you can always get the developer’s beta version, whose next version can even land before July 23. To get that, see how to install the beta of the iOS developer 26.
