Kate Norley’s relationship with her husband, comedian John Oliver, is going strong.
Recently, during an appearance on The last show with David LettermanJohn humorously criticized his wife, saying that Kate is more “valuable” than him and is the “leader” in their home.
“How do you think it plays out when I come back from my day writing for a comedy show, writing jokes? You can see his eyes roll and say ‘shut up,'” the host joked.
“When you’ve been in a war you don’t have time for the insecurities of a mid-range comedian,” he added.
For those who don’t know, John and Kate first met in 2008 and got engaged in July 2010.
“We were on vacation in St. Thomas,” John said. People magazine at that time.
“I was a medic in the army,” Kate added. “It was hard, but now it’s nice to be able to spend time with the love of my life.”
The two exchanged vows a year later, in 2011, and the couple now have two children: Hudson, born in 2015, and another son, born in 2018.
