“All matters have been addressed satisfactorily, and the matter is closed. Demand will be dismissed with prejudice.”
Initially, Sharpe described the accusations as “false and disruptive” when the demand was filed in April. The woman claimed that Sharpe dedicated himself to the intentional imposition of emotional anguish and then attacked her twice, once in October 2024 and in January 2025.
Sharpe moved away from his duties in ESPN on April 24, but promised to return in the NFL preseason. He also called for a “Shakedown” and a “blade configuration” by Buzbee and the accuser.

Sharpe’s lawyer, Lanny J. Davis, previously revealed a series of text messages that were allegedly from the plaintiff, which according to him showed a consensual relationship. Davis states that the relationship involved “fantasy” and “roles game.”
Davis published a long statement, which Sharpe shared in his social media accounts. In the message, Davis shared sexually explicit messages.

Sharpe also published a video about X before Davis’s press conference in which he called the legal action of the accuser as “Shakedown.” He also mentioned that Buzbee planned to launch an edited sex tape to support his client’s claims.
“This is a Shakedown. I will be open, transparent and defend myself because this is not right. All this is being orchestrated by Tony Buzbee,” Sharpe said. “Tony Buzbee points to black men, and I think he will launch a 30 -second clip of a sex tape that tries to make me guilty and reproduce in every stereotype you can imagine.”
Buzbee issued a statement after Sharpe’s video message and Davis’s press conference, confirming the latter’s comments on the previous proposed agreement. He also denied that any video of the plaintiff was altered, saying that Sharpe’s statement was “demonstrably false, but also desperate.”

“In fact, there is an incredibly condemnatory video,” Buzbee added in his statement. “The content of that video says a lot about Mr. Sharpe and his behavior. That video, which will reproduce in the jury, is extremely problematic for Mr. Sharpe. Sharpe’s team, as anticipated, revealed the existence of this video in an effort to try to get ahead of him. That effort will fall flat.”
Buzbee is known for negotiating settlements for women who accused the Marshal of the Cleveland Browns, Deshaun Watson, of sexual assault.
