The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, will visit the United States next week to attend the high -level signatory events of the Presidency of the UN Security Council (UNSC) in New York, as well as for certain commitments in Washington.

In New York, as part of the characteristic events of the Pakistan Security Council, the Deputy Prime Minister will preside over an open high -level debate on “promoting international peace and security through multilateralism and the peaceful solution of disputes.”

“The high -level debate aims to explore ways to strengthen multilateralism and improve diplomacy and mediation for the peaceful dispute solution,” said the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release on Saturday.

In addition, the Foreign Minister will preside over the quarterly open debate of the Security Council on the “situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian issue.”

It will also preside over a high -level informative session of the UN Security Council that will focus on improving cooperation between the UN and the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC).

The meeting is celebrated as part of Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen collaboration between OIC and UN for the maintenance of international peace and security.

To express the strong commitment of Pakistan and unwavering support for the right to self -determination of the Palestinian people, to also attend the high -level conference on the “peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the solution of two states.”

During his stay in New York, he is expected to also have several bilateral commitments with his counterparts, as well as senior UN officials.

“The visit to give New York and Washington exemplifies the growing role and importance of Pakistan in the multilateral field, as well as its expanding multifaceted relationships with the United States,” the statement said.

“The high -level participation of Pakistan in the quarterly debate of the UN Security Council on the Middle East, as well as the International Conference on Pacific settlement of the Palestine issue and the implementation of the solution of two states, is also a testimony of the unwavering commitment of Pakistan with the support and support of the Palestinian cause,” he concluded.

The visit occurred weeks after Pakistan formally recommended to the president of the United States, Donald Trump, for the Nobel Peace Prize 2026, citing his role in the deactivity of tensions between Pakistan and India earlier this year.

A letter of recommendation, signed by DPM Dar, was sent to the Nobel Committee in Norway.

According to the government, the measure recognizes the efforts of President Trump to achieve a high fire between the two neighbors with nuclear weapons and to highlight the Kashmir dispute on the international stage.
