
Dhaka: Pakistan’s captain T20i, Salman Ali Agha, has said that his team for the next series of three games against Bangladesh is composed of players capable of playing an aggressive Cricket brand.
Agha, while heading to the press conference prior to the series here on Saturday, expressed his confidence in the ability of his team to offer a strong performance in the next series, scheduled to start on Sunday.
He described the series A challenging, but expected a positive result, noting that the players have no pressure and will play aggressive Crick.
He recognized the strength of the Bangladesh side, saying: “They are a competitive team and give difficult challenges to their opponents at home and abroad, but we are also ready to play aggressive Crick.”
Agha added that after having participated in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), he and several other players understand local conditions well.
He pointed out that the team had also trained accordingly during its preparatory camp in Karachi, with releases made to simulate the conditions in Dhaka.
“Understanding the conditions is key. We have prepared to adapt our game according to the launch and game situations. Our experience of playing at the BPL gives us an advantage here,” he said.
The captain also praised the older players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, calling them world -class Cricket players who have constantly acted for Pakistan.
He stressed that the current squad has the correct mixture of players to play Crickt T20.
“Babar and Rizwan are world class. They have served Pakistan incredibly well. T20 Crick is evolving every six months, every year.
“We have players in the team that coincide with the Cricket style that we want to play. There is no pressure, our approach is only in playing a good Crick in this series,” he concluded.
Agha has led the shortest format side with star batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan since last year.
PACE Spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi has been rested for the three -game series, with sewing players Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim not available due to injuries.
Agha said that missing players could still be considered for the World Cup T20 in India and Sri Lanka next year.
“We have changed the way we want to play, but we are sure of our accumulation and direction,” said Agha.
“We are going to this series with wide preparations, since Bangladesh can be a challenging team in its household conditions.”
For not versed, the T20I series trophy of three games between Pakistan and Bangladesh was presented at a ceremony held at a local hotel in Dhaka on Saturday.
Captains on both sides, Salman Ali Agha de Pakistan and Liton Das, participated in a photo shoot with the trophy.
The green shirts will play three T20IS against Bangladesh on July 20, 22 and 24, with the National Stadium of Dhaka Cricket Sher-E-Bangla to organize all the matches.
The series marks a rematch between both sides after its last match in May, where Pakistan sealed a clean 3-0 sweep at home.
