Carter Couchlin, a native of Minnesota and former supporter of the New York giants, offered a schedule marked to the city of Minneapolis if Omar Fateh is elected mayor.

Fateh announced on Saturday that the branch of the Minnesota Democratic Party, the Labor Party of Democratic Farmters (DFL), supported it in the mayor’s career on headline Jacob Frey.

Coughlin, who was born in Eden Prairie and played university American football for the Minnesota Golden Gophers, offered his opinion on Fateh’s policies and provided a gloomy perspective,

“First, attack politics, not the person. People need to grow,” he wrote in X.

“Secondly, in a city that has experienced unimaginable destruction and racial tension, these policies would send another 10 steps back to the city. MPLS needs to be rebuilt, this will do the opposite. Pray for wisdom.”

Fateh has received many comparisons with Zohran Mamdani from New York City. Like Mamdani, Fateh is a Muslim Democratic socialist and, at age 35, a member of the Y Generation.

Fateh, son of Somali immigrants, became the first Somali American chosen for the Senate of Minnesota in 2020. It undertakes that, if he is elected mayor, he would raise the minimum wage of the city, the supply of affordable homes would increase and fight what he calls “police violence.”

He thanked DFL for support.

“I feel incredibly honored to be the candidate backed by DFL for the mayor of Minneapolis,” he wrote in X. “This support is a message that Minneapolis residents have ended with broken promises, veins and politics as usual. It is a mandate to build a city that works for all of us.”
