Scheffler won the championship open for the first time in his career. The best ending he previously was tied for the seventh last year when the main event was played at the Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland.

This year, Scheffler walked through the streets of Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland and made it look like another day in the office.

He started behind the pack with a first round, but entered the area in the second round with a 64. His eight birdies in the second round promoted him by the classification. A third round 67 put him in good dispute to win the title.

Then, Sunday, it was a more consistent and solid game.

It ended with five birdies and only a double bogey in the round. He never hesitated in the final round and nobody really was close to catching him.

Scheffler has four victories in 2025. He won the Byron Nelson in May and followed him with a PGA championship. In June, he arrested Ben Griffin on the monument.

Harris English ended in second place with a pair of 13 bass. He triggered a 66 in the final round of the tournament. It was the best ending in the greatest of his career. Before Sunday, its best ending in 2013 when it was tied at 15.

Chris Gottrup also had an incredible tournament, finishing 12 under par. He brought a final round 66 and ended thirdly.

Liv Golf star, Bryson Dechambeau, may have passed a difficult time in Royal Portrush, but made a mountainous climb back to Top 10 when he finished his round.

He shot 78 in the first round and was close to the bottom of the classification when he entered the second round. However, a 65 in the second round helped him make the cut. He triggered a 68 in the third and a 64 in the final round.

He won 24 positions to enter a draw for the tenth place.
