Islamabad:
The government has asked WhatsApp and the international community in general to take immediate measures against the prohibited terrorist organization Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which is using the messaging platform to disseminate violent propaganda.
The Minister of State of Tallal Chaudrysenator gave the alarm in a publication on X (previously Twitter), stating that the TTP, a terrorist group designated by the UN and the United States, has been operating WhatsApp channels to send bulk messages promoting its extremist ideology.
“Pakistan has zero tolerance for these terrorist groups and offers tremendous sacrifices to guarantee global peace,” said Chaudry.
He urged WhatsApp and the international community to cooperate in blocking these accounts and the development of algorithms to automatically detect and suspend such mangoes.
