- Last week, Fitbit users experienced an interruption that prevented the application of application and synchronization
- The problem was solved quickly, but the problems have persisted for a seemingly small percentage of users
- We have received more emails during the weekend, both about this persistent problem and other problems that Fitbit users are having
Last week, as of July 17, Fitbit users reported mass problems, since the application prevented users from synchronizing their physical conditioning watches and trackers, and when users followed the steps of solving FITBit problems and would start session in the application, would not allow them to log in again.
The problems arose regardless of whether the users were shaking one of the best fitbits, an older model or a Google Pixel clock, and covered the interruption widely with a live blog. Google contacted to confirm that the problem was solved later that same day, and the descent reports returned to normal.
However, even after the blog ended, we have received electronic emails from readers who say their devices that will not yet be synchronized with the Fitbit application.
Wendy sent an email on July 19, two days after it was reported that the interruption ended, to say “I have been trying to synchronize all day. I have covid, so I’ve been tracking my blood oxygen level … I don’t know what my number is last night, since it will not synchronize.”
Lloyd sent an email to inform us that his Fitbit would not be synchronized with the application on his iPhone 11, Ann could not establish the right time on his clock (probably the result of a synchronization problem, since this is done by pairing with his phone), and other users intervened to say that his best physical conditioning trackers would not synchronize correctly.
In a thread in Reddit entitled Does anyone else still have synchronization problems? Eight other people intervened with their comments, all stating that they are still having problems after the solution was implemented. In another thread entitled How are Fitbits now? The most renewed comment was this:
“The last weeks have been horrible. Synchronization problems without stopping with the application and had an important interruption yesterday, which they say is solved, but I still have problems … I would go to Garmin honestly at this time.”
It is important to put these problems in perspective: although it is very unfortunate that all the users mentioned above have devices that cannot be temporarily use (some of them probably with Premium Subscriptions of Fitbit that they are paying) it seems that they are a relatively small minority of users, and Google seems to have solved the broader problem.
However, that does not help you if your device cannot synchronize or are blocked. In the end, many people communicated with us, many with continuous problems that seem to be separated from the interruption.
Phil in Hong Kong wrote to tell us: “My Fitbit has not been working for a week. He does strange things like after waking, he says that I have reached 10,000 steps or I did not read my dream.
“It is actually really annoying and this is the third time I have problems with Fitbit and I still think if I change to an Apple Watch.”
Linda echoes the answer of Phil, stating: “I have tried all the methods of solving problems with the same results. Approximately two weeks ago, I asked for a second generation Apple Watch.”
The reason why people are so disappointed when their devices do not work is that people love to use their fitbits. Create a compromised community of related users who seek to stay fit, track their dream and health, and enjoy the exercise.
It is a great tool, and for most people it works very well. There are many reasons why, even in some persistent problems, Fitbit remains synonymous with activities.
For those who experience continuous difficulties that cannot be resolved by solving the usual problems, the best thing you can do is get through the Fitbit aid center.
