Richard Tillman, the brother of the late player and hero of the Pat Tillman Army, who crashed into a San José Post Office on Sunday morning, has been dealing with “severe mental problems for years,” says his family.
Kevin Tillman, Pat and Richard’s brother, said Richard was “transmitting live to what, I will call, his being altered on social networks”, which occurred during the accident. Richard told the police in the accident scene, that he set on the post office after the car caught fire, that he was broadcasting it live.
Richard also told the officers that he was Pat Tillman’s brother on the scene.

“Our family is aware that my brother Richard has been arrested,” Kevin said in a statement to the NBC Bay area. “In the first place, we are relieved that no one has been physically damaged.
“We have limited information at this time, but we are in communication with local authorities and we are providing so many background and context as we can.

“To be clear, it is not secret that Richard has been fighting the serious mental health problems for many years. He has been live, what I will call, his being altered on social networks so that anyone can witness. Unfortunately, ensure the proper care and support for him have proven to be incredibly difficult, or rather, impossible. As a result, none of this is shocking as it should be.
Richard was arrested and reserved under suspicion of fire, and is scheduled to appear before the court on Wednesday, according to the online records of the Sheriff’s office of the Santa Clara County.

The 44 -year -old man crashed into the post office located in a shopping center around 3 in the early morning on Sunday morning. Around 50 firefighters were needed per hour and a half to turn off the flames, according to the NBC bay area.
Pat was a NFL star for the Arizona cardinals who left their career in football to enlist in the United States Army in May 2002. The decision occurred after the attacks of September 11, 2001.
Tillman served in Iraq and Afghanistan as an army rangers, making several combat tours before being killed in the Mountains of Afghanistan.

While initially it was reported that Tillman was killed by the enemy fire, the Pentagon told his family that he was killed by a friendly fire. In 2007, the Pentagon ruled that Tillman’s death was accidental.
