Ozzy Osbourne, who jumped to fame as the main singer of the Black Sabbath pioneer band, died on Tuesday. He was 76 years old.
Osbourne took the stage for the last time only two weeks ago while doing a farewell show.
While Osbourne’s musical legacy is undeniable, it also became a well -known figure in the world of sport.

New England patriots were among the sports franchises and sports figures that paid tribute to the Heavy Metal icon that expressed the presentations of the games at the home of the team for more than two decades.
“The New England Patriots are sad to learn about the legend of Ozzy Osbourne music, who provided the iconic introduction for the Patriots games for more than 20 years. Condolences to their family and all those who cry their loss,” the franchise wrote on Tuesday X on Tuesday.
“Crazy Train” by Osbourne was the choice song for much of the career of the Hall of Fame of the Icon of the Braves of Atlanta Chipper Jones. Jones recalled a time when the song evoked a reaction during a game against the New York Mets.

“He was sad to hear the death of Ozzy Osbourne today. I feel Ozzy and I will always be linked to his song, ‘Train Crazy’!” Jones wrote in X.
“Fast history … … making the Mets at home … on the way to the plate and say ‘Hi Mike (Piazza), how are you doing?’ He says: ‘I’m fine Larry, but I hate this song F —- G!’ I said ‘Well, get ready because you’re going to listen about 5 times today!’ Quite fun … Ozzy rest! “
Aston Villa Football Club, a Premier League soccer club based in Osbourne’s native England, also honored Heavy Metal.

“Growing up in Aston, not far from Villa Park, Ozzy always had a special connection with the club and the community he came from,” the team wrote in a publication on social networks.
“The thoughts of all in Aston Villa are with his wife Sharon, his family, his friends and innumerable fans at this extremely difficult time. Rest in peace, Ozzy.”

St. Louis Blues retweeted a photo of Osbourne in 2019 with the team’s shirt.
“Come on @stlouisblues! #Stanleycup,” said Osbourne’s publication.
The Blues defeated the Boston Bruins in seven games in the 2019 Stanley Cup final.
“St. Louis loves you, Ozzy. Rip,” wrote the blues on Tuesday.
The Osbourne family issued a statement asking for privacy.
“It is more sad that the simple words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has died this morning. He was with his family and is surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” said a family statement from Birmingham, England.
In 2020, Osbourne revealed that he had Parkinson’s disease after taking a fall.
Osbourne survives his wife Sharon and his children.
