Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved on Friday the first Pakistan skills impact bonus, a modern model that will attract private investment so that young people are employed.
He approved the project while presided over a review meeting here on the road map to provide employment to young people.
According to the new model, young people will be taught skills that are in line with contemporary requirements, which will allow them to play an important role in the country’s economic development.
The model is called “successful payment”, under which public funds or donors are released only when the results are achieved independently, such as job creation or a certain income threshold.
Speaking at the meeting, the prime minister directed that more measures should be taken to improve the ability of young people, train them in skills that are in line with contemporary requirements and guarantee employment after training.
He expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, the Pakistani Ministry of Affairs abroad, the National Commission for Vocational and Technical Training and all related institutions, to provide employment to young people.
He said that young people should be provided to learn the local languages from other countries to help them find employment abroad.
A comprehensive roadmap based on the estimated number of work opportunities and the hiring of young people in Pakistan and abroad, said he will review the progress of the implementation of the road map every two months.
The prime minister said that the training of qualified people for employment abroad should have priority.
He said that a campaign should be launched for young people to know the employment opportunities available in the digital youth center.
He said that Pakistan’s talented youth was his most valuable asset.
Providing education and employable skills to young people will change the fate of the country, he said that Pakistan’s talented young people were making the name of their country shine worldwide.
The meeting was informed that the Federal Government, on the instructions of the Prime Minister, was taking comprehensive measures to guarantee the use of young people in Pakistan and abroad along with providing skills and education to make them employable.
Participants were informed about the annual estimate of employment provision to young people in Pakistan and abroad under the new program. The program will empower young people and help them in self -sufficiency, entrepreneurship and direct employment placement.
The meeting was reported that until now more than 500,000 people have registered in the Digital Youth Center, while more than 1.7 million people have downloaded their application.
In addition to that, more than 500 companies registered. There were more than 47,000 employment opportunities in Pakistan and more than 100,000 jobs were available abroad in addition to the availability of more than 2,000 scholarships.
More than 500 institutions, including Pakistani embassies abroad, government agencies, private companies and other NGOs, including the United Nations, are connected to the portal.
The federal ministers Ahad Khan Chema, Attaullah Tarar, the youth program of the president of Prime Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, the National Assembly Amina Batool and the senior relevant officials attended the meeting.
