Cheryl Burke celebrates his seven years of sobriety in his social networks with a moving publication.
He Dancing with the stars Pro led to his Instagram account to mark the milestone, sharing that he has won “presence. Peace. Self-respect” on his sobriety trip.
“7 years ago, I thought sobriety would mean losing everything. Fun. Freedom. The intrepid version of me I thought, it only appeared after a drink,” he began to share several snapshots during his trip.
Cheryl continued to say: “But what I didn’t realize at that time … was that the escape I longed for was really from myself. And the girl I ran from?
“Today, chaos is no longer pursued as fun. I no longer tolerate the connections that require me to abandon me. And I no longer confused the numbness with peace. What I thought I would miss in sobriety? It was never real to start. I have won … presence. Paz. Self -respect,” he said.
“And a relationship with my superior power that reminds me that I was never walking alone, not even in my darkest moments,” he added, while he concluded his subtitles, stating: “Here are 7 sober years. This is to choose clarity, integrity and me. One day, one hour, one minute at the same time.”
