The optimized square sensor can record an 8K video with 10-bit color depth and the DJI flat D-Log color profile, while the X5 is limited to the 8-bit color depth. The largest and greater depth sensor combination should result in a more natural aspect image.
There are several sample videos on the side filmed with Osmo 360 and X5 in the video, which shows the difference in image quality.
