Peshawar:
In a joint operation against terrorism, the Swat Police Department and against terrorism (CTD) killed three key operations of Fitna al-Khawarij, a group identified as an Indian proxy, including a high value objective with a Lima of RS2 million on Saturday, said Express News.
According to the CTD, the terrorists were involved in attacks on the security forces and the murders of police personnel. Among the deceased was Ajmal aka Waqas, accused of killing members of a village defense council and listing as a more Wented terrorist.
The second suspect was identified as Matiullah, also known as Ishaq and Junaid. The third murdered terrorist was Rahimullah Rehmani, also known as Rohullah.
The CTD stated that the terrorists were also linked to IED attacks, extortion cases and were part of a network that received foreign funds to spread terror in the region.
Regional Police officer Sher Akbar Khan called on the operation a decisive blow to the operational wings of Fitna al-Khawarij in Swat and its surroundings, affirming the continuous efforts to eradicate the group.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police inspector, Zulfiqar Hameed, praised the CTD and Swat police for success and emphasized that operations against terrorists would intensify to ensure lasting peace in the province.
