The training fields were opened throughout the NFL this week, and the Chargers of the Leones de Detroit and Los Angeles will meet in Canton, Ohio, on July 31 to officially begin the preseason.

The persistent problem of the Houston Texans star, Joe Mixon, is expected to prevent him from adapting to this preseason.

The two times PRO Bowler will probably undergo an additional evaluation closer to the beginning of the regular season, according to ESPN. The Texans are scheduled to face the Los Angeles Rams on September 7 in week 1.
The NFL network was the first to report Mixon’s injury.

Mixon began the training camp in the list of injuries that are not football. The designation of the list occurred after Mixon seemed to suffer an ankle injury earlier this low season. He did not take the field during the mini -family.

This is not the first time that Mixon has fought against ankle problems. He was set aside for three games in 2024 after aggravating his ankle. Mixon also remained out of two games in 2022 with a brain shock.
He took care of an apparent ankle sprains in 2021, although he still managed to appear in 16 games that season. A foot injury in week 6 of 2020 took the Mixon season to an early end.

The 29 -year -old comes from a strong season, running for 1,016 yards in 2024. Mixon also ran for 11 touchdowns and had a reception score last year.
The Texans added to the runner room this low season signing the All-Pro Nick Chubb. Houston’s main office also spent a fourth -round draft selection at Woody Marks.
Texans open their preseason on August 9 against the Minnesota Vikings.
