Pakistan will launch another remote sensation satellite from a Chinese launch center next week, the space research commission and the upper atmosphere (Supparco) announced on Sunday. The satellite will improve land observation capabilities to support national resource management and strengthen disaster response systems.

The new satellite is expected to be launched from the Xichang Satellite launch Center in China (XSLC) on July 31, it meets a wide range of national priorities, from precision agriculture and urban planning to infrastructure monitoring, transport networks and risk assessment. It will also reinforce disaster preparation by providing real time alerts for floods, earthquakes, landslides, glacier fusion and deforestation.

Supparco declared that the integration of this satellite with PRSS-1 (launched July 2018) and EO-1 (January 2025) will strengthen the Pakistan space ecosystem under the national policy and vision of space and vision 2047, with the aim of positioning the country as a leader in regional space technology.
