The United States loaded, the Affairs Elizabeth Horst met Monday with Finance Minister Muhamad Aurengzeb in Islamabad to discuss economic cooperation and reaffirm the trajectory of strengthening bilateral ties, Radio Pakistan reported.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance, the meeting provided “an opportunity to exchange opinions on matters of mutual interest” and stressed a growing collaboration between Pakistan and the United States.
Aurengzeb thanked the United States for its old support for the economic development of Pakistan, particularly the support of macroeconomic stability achieved in the last 18 months.
He also recalled his recent visit to Washington, DC, where he held what he described as “productive meetings” with the United States Secretary Howard Lutnick and the ambassador of the trade representative Jamieson Greer.
The minister said that these discussions had contributed to a “healthy impulse in bilateral commitment.” “The United States remains the largest commercial partner of Pakistan,” said Aurengzeb, while expressing Pakistan’s interest in expanding cooperation beyond traditional sectors.
He pointed out a growing potential in information, minerals and agriculture technology as key areas for mutually beneficial investment and collaboration.
Aurengzeb also informed the visiting diplomat about macroeconomic indicators that improve Pakistan, including the recent improvements for sovereign qualification and renewed investor confidence. He outlined key reforms that are carried out in taxes and energy aimed at promoting long -term sustainable growth.
The minister also shared updates on the successful participation of Pakistan in the capital markets of the Middle East and plans to issue the first panda bonus in the country, together with the next companies in the Euro and US dollars markets.
The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to deepen cooperation and based on the progress made in recent months.
