At one point, Harper told Manfred if he was there to talk about the salary limit, he could “get the F — of the Club house.
Manfred was not in the Club house to speak specifically about a potential salary limit, but the problem of the sports economy caused to go from Harper, Espn reported. It is also reported that he said that players “are not afraid of losing 162 games” if MLB proposed a limit.
According to the reports, Manfred said he was not going to leave. Finally, the gardener of the Philis, Nick Castellanos, tried to spread the situation, saying that he had more questions. According to the reports, Harper and Manfred set their hands before the commissioner left, but the first base of the Philis refused to answer telephone calls the next day.

“It was quite intense, definitely passionate,” Castellanos told ESPN. “Both. The commissioner returned him to Bryce and Bryce returning him to the commissioner. That is a harp. He has been doing this since he was 15 years old. It’s just another day. He was not surprised.”
Both Manfred and Harper declined to comment, according to ESPN.
The Baseball collective bargaining agreement will expire on December 1, 2026, and some players have been concerned about possible impulse by the owners for a salary limit.
