Karachi:
In what seems to be a case of honor murder, a young woman and a man were shot dead along the remote Karachi coast on Monday. They were killed in execution style with a single bullet in the head, range of blank points.
The victims, identified as healthy Muhammad Asif and Sajid Masih, both between 25 and 30 years, from the same village, Dakkhana Lala Pul Abdullahpur, in the area of Nausheran Virakan of the Gujranwala division of Punjab.
According to SSP South Mahzoor Ali, the bodies were discovered in a deserted area near the port of China in the town of the ship basin. The victims were shot in the head at a short distance by unknown assailants, he said. The crime scene threw two 9 mm spent gun shells, which have been insured by the police as evidence.
The personal belongings recovered from the scene included a mobile phone, some cash photographs and photographs of the size of a passport, which are believed to be the victims. The SSP Ali said the victims were probably brought to the site and executed during the night or in the early hours of the morning.
The bodies were transferred to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for Post Mortem exams to confirm identity and collect more forensic tests.
The senior police officers and the Rangers, including the DSP Clifton Manshiya Rupita and the DSP Darakhshan Imran Jakirani, rushed to the scene after the incident. A crime scene unit was also called to help with the collection of evidence.
Police have launched a large -scale investigation into the double murder, exploring several reasons, including personal enmity, hyonour -based violence or other possible factors. Until now, no arrests have been made, and the reason is still clear.
