Epson announced today the Epson Pro Cinema LS9000 4K 3LCD laser projector. The new low -cost entry in the company Pro Cinema projectors is debut this week at the Audio Advice live show, which takes place from August 1 to 3, 2025, in Raleigh, North Carolina.
With a price of $ 3,999 (around £ 2,995 / au $ 6,135), the Epson LS9000 provides an alternative more affordable to the Epson Pro Cinema LS12000 ($ 5,999), currently the best choice in our guide to the best projectors. Like that model, the new LS9000 is a 4K 3LCD model with HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG support. It also uses a laser light source classified for 20,000 hours and has a motorized lens with fed zoom, approach and +/- 96% vertical and up to +/- 24% horizontal lens change.
With 2,200 White brightness lumens (classified by ISO) and color (classified IDM), the LS9000 is not as powerful as the LS12000, which is classified for 2,700 white brightness lumens. But like that model, it has 4K 120Hz support in its Dual HDMI 2.1 ports for games (they are also compatible with EARC and ARC).
Epson’s ZX image processor performs the interpolation of paintings in real time and the improvement of the images in the LS9000, which also has a fed lens cover that slides in its place when the projector is off. A memory zoom option allows you to use the projector with ultra wide 2.35: 1 screens, and also supports third -party anamorphic lenses for use with them.
A cheaper pro series? We will take it
In Cedia Expo 2024, Epson debuted the Epson Q-Series, a 4K laser projectors aimed at the high-end residential market. What distinguished them from other Epson projectors were the high brightness specifications of the Q series, starting at 3,300 lumens for the QB1000, with up to 10,000 lumens for the insignia Epson QL7000.
This high light exit makes the series that is a perfect option for open format rooms or living rooms, where a certain degree of environmental lighting is preferred.
With 2,200 brightness lumens, the new LS9000 is addressed more to the traditional theaters of the Dark House, where the two -speed dynamic set of the projector will allow you to project 4K clear films with powerful contrast (Epson’s contrast ratio specifications cite more than 2.5 million to one).
The HDMI 2.1 dual 2.1 ports of the LS9000 with 4K 120Hz support also make it an excellent option for games with next -generation consoles or PC. And with $ 3,999, Epson’s last one is a game projector at a more reasonable price than other models in his alignment, and he is also one that should have a double job for films.
