The head of the Army personnel, also Munir, emphasized that despite the evolution of strategic dynamics, the friendship between Pakistan and China has remained firm and unwavering, said public relations between services (ISPR) in a statement on Friday.

According to the Wing of the Army Media, the Army Chief made these comments while attending the 98th anniversary of the China Popular Liberation Army (PL) held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi with Chinese and Pakistani Altos military officers.

The main guest at the ceremony was the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong, the ISPR said.

The Chinese envoy joined the attachment of defense of China, Major General Wang Zhong, other Embassy officials and senior army officers, the Pakistan navy and Air Force.

The Munir Marshal warmly received Chinese guests and congratulated in the name of the Pakistan army.

In his comments, he praised the role of the PL by guaranteeing the defense and construction efforts of the Nation of China for almost a century, according to the ISPR statement.

Coas Munir stressed that the strategic relationship of Pakistan-China exemplifies mutual trust, unwavering support and shared commitment.

“Our friendship with China is unique, proven in time and exceptionally resistant,” said the ISPR citing the Army Chief.

Highlighting the strength of bilateral military ties, the Munir Marshal said: “The PLA and the Pakistan army are true brothers in arms. Our lasting association is essential to promote regional stability and ensure our shared strategic interests.”

On the occasion, Chinese ambassador Jiang Zaidong thanked the COA for organizing the event and recognized the sacrifices made by the armed forces of Pakistan in the fight against terrorism and reaffirmed Beijing’s unwavering support and commitment to his strategic association with Islamabad.
