The New York Mets sent four players to Atlanta for the game of the stars a couple of weeks ago, but the Star Francisco Lindor campocort said there should have been one more player with them.
Lindor, 31, said his star teammate Juan Soto should have joined the contingent of the Mets in Atlanta.
“I hope we can take players like him to all stars games,” Lindor told Pak Gazette Digital last week after talking about Miracle Treat Day in DQ.

“It wasn’t just him, can anyone say that many players in the league did not get the recognition they deserved,” said Lindor?
“Juan Soto (s) one of the best batters in the league, and will end the numbers he wants (at the end of the season) and will probably end with a silver toleter, and we will see what else, but it would have been great to see him in Atlanta.”
In addition to Lindor, the first Base Pete Alonso, the Edwin Díaz closing and the starting pitcher David Peterson were the Mets players who were named for the National League Star Game.

With the stars game in the review mirror, the Mets now focus on their division career with the Philadelphia Philis. The METS (62-47) currently have a half-game advantage over the Philis (61-47) for the first place in the east of the National League.
Lindor said the Mets have to try to find the “best version” of themselves in the section while competing for a postseason place.
“We simply continue being ourselves and continue playing the game in the right way and pushing each other and relying each other to try to be the best version of ourselves,” said Lindor.
