After months of stagnant negotiations, Micah Parsons has officially requested an exchange of the Dallas Cowboys.

“Yes, I wanted to be here. I did my best to prove that I wanted to be a cowboy and use the star in my helmet. I wanted to play in front of the best fans in sports and make these Americas [sic] Equipment once again. The team that My Pops and I grew up encouraging in Harrisburg, pa. Unfortunately, I don’t want to be here anymore, “Parsons began.
“I no longer want to stop the negotiations of the doors without my present agent. I no longer want the shots to take me to injure while I put it in the line for the organization, our fans and my teammates. I no longer want the narratives to be created and propagated to the media about me. I had kept silently on purpose in order to do something.”
Parsons then continued on how he aimed to obtain an extension after his third season, but the team was not interested.
“I agreed with that, I didn’t complain and concentrated in the 2024 season,” Parsons said.
Parsons then said he was willing to risk his price in favor of making an agreement sooner rather than later, but there has been a “radio silence” of the team.
According to Parsons, he and Jerry Jones had discussed what he wanted in a contract in March, “but at no time do I think this was a formal negotiation and informed Mr. Jones later, my agent would come to think that he would do things.”
The team “decided to remain silent,” said the All-Pro, and there has not yet a “call, email or text message to my agent to start a negotiation.”
“I have made a difficult decision that I no longer want to play for the Dallas Cowboys. My commercial application has been personally presented to Stephen Jones,” Parsons concluded.
