King Charles spent a heartbroken Christmas without his grandchildren Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, a source has revealed.
According to a report, the monarch wanted to spend the holiday season with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children, but it didn’t happen due to their years-long estrangement.
Charles’ desire to have a family reunion comes after a year marked by health problems, including his cancer diagnosis.
talking to the mirror, A source revealed that Charles is hoping to close the distance between him and his youngest grandchildren.
“King Charles has expressed his desire to see his grandchildren and there is no better time than the festive period to reunite families,” the source said.
“There is no feeling of being a grandfather and it is a role that King Charles enjoys,” they added.
“His hope is that his family will be reunited and there is no better way than to spend quality time with his grandchildren at Christmas. It would be really special.”
