NYT Strands Today (game #521) – The answers
The responses to today’s threads, game #521, are …
- GUITAR
- BOOK
- Sunflowers
- FRUIT
- JEWELRY
- PITCHER
- SPANGRAM: Muerta nature
- My qualification: Hard
- My score: 1 track
It’s curious how sometimes you see part of a word, but not everything, but today I had three examples of this.
First, I saw the word no game “jewel”, but completely lost jewels, then “throw” before seeing a pitcher and “flowers” ahead of sunflowers. I am ashamed to admit that I needed a clue to see that!
However, my crowned achievement was to see books but not books. I don’t know how I achieved that!
Anyway, a lovely search today and I am sure that some of you will know many famous paintings that present these basic products of dead life. I know that Picasso was obsessed with the guitar and Van Gogh will always be associated with the sunflowers. The rest that I am not sure. Maybe there is a painting that presents them all.
Yesterday’s Nyt Strands responses (Tuesday, August 5, game #520)
