Energy consumers can obtain RS0.77 per unit of relief

Islamabad:

Energy consumers throughout the country can soon receive another financial relief, since an additional reduction of RS0.77 per unit (including taxes) in tariffs in the next billing cycle is expected.

The anticipated relief is under the heads of the quarterly adjustment of the rate (QTA) and the fuel price adjustment (FPA).

The fourth quarterly adjustment for fiscal year 2024-25 was presented by energy discos to the nepring, which held a public hearing on August 4.

According to the audience, Nepra is likely to approve a negative adjustment of RS 1.89 per unit, which will be reflected in the electricity invoices for the months of August, September and October.
