Islamabad:
The president of the Supreme Court, Yahya Afridi, reaffirmed on Tuesday the bank and the bar as essential pillars of the justice system, emphasizing that its shared objective of delivering justice requires close cooperation.
The superior judge made these comments when he met with a delegation of the Bar Association of the Superior Court of Sindh (SHCBA) in the Supreme Court Registry, Karachi. He was accompanied by the president of the Sindh Superior Court, Junaid Ghaffar.
According to a statement published on Tuesday, the president of the Supreme Court welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed that the bank and the bar are component components of a justice system.
He stressed that the shared mission of delivering justice cannot be achieved without the close cooperation of legal fraternity, ensuring that it would not allow any factor to interrupt this significant vital association.
In informing the delegation, the superior judge described the ongoing reform agenda that was implemented through the Pakistan Law and Justice Commission (LJCP). They informed them of the measures taken for the well -being of the legal fraternity, including its inclusion in decision -making processes and the development of policies for the justice sector.
