Archie Manning meets his grandson, Arch, and believes that the Texas Campo Marshal will be present for some time.
Archie, 76, said he has not discussed the possibility that Arch potentially declares for the NFL 2026 draft, but does not believe that his grandson declares.
“Arch is not going to do that. He will be in Texas,” Manning told Texas Monthly.

The exaggerated train for ARCH enters this first year as a starter is all Vitina. Fans have labeled the Lonchorns field marshal as a candidate to the Heisman trophy, who angry their grandfather.
“People say he is a Heisman candidate,” said Archie. “You are not a candidate to the Heisman trophy when you have not played but three games. It’s crazy.”
Arch intervened and started three games this season when Quinn Ewers was injured and wasting time with an oblique injury.

In addition to those three openings, Manning has appeared in seven games this season for Texas. He has completed 67.8% of his passes while they are launched for 939 yards and nine touchdowns with two interceptions.
Manning has also shown the ability to run, running for 100 yards and four touchdowns this season. Even when Ewers returned from an injury, Texas chief coach Steve Sarkisian replaced Manning with a couple of plays involved in the field marshal.

For Archie’s disgust, Texas was team number 1 in the Top 25 preseason of the coaches, which is stimulated by the emotion that Manning takes the reins as the senior seafood of the team.
Last season, the Longhorns were 13-3 and were eliminated by the eventual champions, the Buckeyes of the state of Ohio, in the semifinals of the University football playoff. With Arch to the helm, Lonhorn fans are looking at a national championship.
