The star receiver of the Philadelphia Eagles, Aj Brown, recently revealed his reason for not playing football in Georgia. And it is strangely specific.

Brown, 28, said that Georgia recruited him, but did not commit there due to the color of the team’s socks.

“I did not chose Georgia. Georgia recruited me,” Brown said during a recent appearance in “my opinion” by Barstool Sports.

“I did not choose Georgia because I don’t like to use black socks. That can be crazy, but I hate using black socks.”

Brown called the combination of black socks and “horrible” black tacos.

“Putting black socks with black tacos, it’s very horrible. Because when I wear white I feel as fast, as soft. It’s, it’s some of that,” Brown added.

Brown was the prospect of the open receiver No. 5 and the General Prospect No. 47 in the 2016 high school recruitment class. He had an interest in Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss and the state of Mississippi and chose Ole Miss.

In Ole Miss, Brown wore white socks and was part of a dynamic width receiver room. In 2018, Ole Miss had three NFL receptors on her list.

Brown was recruited in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft by the Tennessee Titans. DK Metcalf was recruited in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks. And Elijah Moore was a second round selection in the NFL 2021 draft by the New York Jets.

With the Titans and now Philadelphia Eagles, Brown can continue using white socks and feel quickly.

Regardless of its sock color, Brown had a great season for the Eagles last season. In 13 regular seasonal games, he had 67 trapped for 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns.

In the Eagles Super Bowl race, Brown had 12 trapped for 163 yards and two touchdowns in four playoff games.
