Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has firmly condemned the approval of the Israeli cabinet of a plan to assume the “illegal and illegitimate” control of Gaza, describing him as a dangerous escalation in an already catastrophic war against the Palestinians.
In a statement published in X, the prime minister warned that the expansion of military operations in Gaza would deepen the in progress and derail any perspective of peace in the region.

The prime minister urged the international community to act urgently to stop the “unjustified aggression” of Israel, safeguard civil life and facilitate the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Prime Minister’s comments occur after the Israel military said “will take control” of the city of Gaza under a new plan approved by the security cabinet of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, offing a wave of criticism on Friday both inside and outside the country.
Almost two years after the war in Gaza, Netanyahu faces increasing pressure to ensure a truce to get more than two million people from the territory of the hungry edge and free the captives of Israel Hamas.
