Detroit Lions’s corner, Ennis Rakestraw Jr., was placed in the injured reserve with an injury that ends the season on Thursday. Then he turned to social networks to ask for the negative messages he was apparently receiving to stop.

Rakestraw, 23, injured his shoulder during a tacle drill on Sunday and underwent shoulder surgery that ended the season on Thursday.

First he turned to social networks after surgery on Friday with a positive message.

“God has all the answers and I will never question it … but I really feel #detroit,” Rakestraw published X.

An hour after publishing that, Rakestraw went to X to beg the fans.

“And resign (direct messages) that tells me that I am about to be cut,” Rakestraw published.

The Lions selected Rakestraw with their second round selection in the NFL 2024 draft out of Missouri. However, Rakestraw only played eight games last year due to an injury.

Rakestraw did not start any of those games and accumulated six combined cups.

The chief coach of the Leones, Dan Campbell, expressed his sympathy for Rakestraw.

“You hate him for the child,” Campbell said earlier this week. “It is not your fault, just one of those difficult offers. All you can do is try to improve and rehabilitate it, go faster and move on.”

Rakestraw played in the game of the Hall of Fame last week against the Los Angeles Chargers, when they lost 34-7.

Rakestraw played the four seasons in Missouri. In 36 career games, it had 107 tacle combined, 24 defended passes, an interception, three forced loose balls and a loose ball recovery.

The next preseason game of the lions is against the Atlanta Falcons on Friday at 7:00 pm et.
