LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Saturday that Tony Hemming has renounced his role as a chief curator.

He had assumed the position in July last year. Hemming has resigned after 13 months even though he signed a two -year contract.

In particular, Western Australia joined the PCB after its contract with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had expired.

Meanwhile, the sources have affirmed that Hemming has been in conversations with the BCB to replace the paper.

During his period as head curator of PCB, Hemming prepared releases for the matches of the World Testing Championship of the Pakistan ICC against Bangladesh (DOS in August/September) and England (three in October) last year.

Hemming also selected releases for the MEN MEN 2025 champion trophy of the CPI, held in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9.

For not versed, Tony Hemming is a curator very respected with almost four decades of experience.

He has worked on several iconic Cricket lands in Australia, including Melbourne, Perth and Tasmania, as well as in countries such as Bangladesh, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, where he was the main curator of the CPI from 2007 to 2017 in Dubai.

During his time with the ICC, Hemming also supervised the preparation of launches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, which was one of the places of Pakistan’s house between 2009 and 2019.

It should be noted that Hemming had replaced Zahid, who began his career by joining the president of the PCB Curator Committee in 2001.

Zahid was later appointed as the chief curator in 2004. He resigned from this role in 2020, but was re -elected by former PCB president, Ramiz Raja, in 2021.
