Donkey Cart Race Marks Freedom, Resilience

In a unique celebration of the Independence Day of Pakistan and Maark-E-HAQ, the Department of Sports of the Government of Sindh organized a Bog-E-E-Qasim donkey car race, Clifton to Frere Hall. The event caused an enthusiastic participation, with more than 50 donkey cars competing in the energetic race.

Nadeem assured first place, followed by Rizwan in the second and Khalid Ismail in third. The winners received cash prizes from RS75,000, RS50,000 and RS25,000 respectively, together with trophies to honor their achievement.

In addition to the first three, all were winners. All participants also received cash prizes and commemorative trophies, which adds to the festive atmosphere.
The closing ceremony was held in Frere Hall, where the parliamentary secretary Saima Agha served as the main guest and distributed the awards. The additional secretary of sports, Asad Ishaq, along with other officials, also attended the event.

The Carrito de Burros race, which combines tradition with the celebration, attracted the attention of the locals and passers -by, turning the streets into a lively track of cheers and emotion.
