Karachi’s government hospitals have illuminated with green and white lights, while medical and paramedic personnel have finished arrangements to celebrate Independence Day with national and traditional heat. Civil Hospital, the Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases and other hospitals have been decorated with national flags and electric flashlights.
The hospital administration has finished a lighting program, national songs and ceremonies of the flag on the night of August 13. Citizens have been advised to avoid aerial shot during celebrations, as it can be deadly.
According to doctors, bullets fired in the air can return to the ground and claim innocent lives, so it is everyone’s responsibility to show restriction. Emergency uncertainty at the Karachi Civil Hospital, Dr. Imran Sarwar, said the aerial shot causes serious injuries and deaths.
As in charge of the emergency department, he and his team see dozens of cases every year where people are injured by street bullets. He stressed that it is not only a matter of application of the law, but also a demand for humanity and morality.
