Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warned of India that any attempt to block Pakistan’s water in violation of the Indo Water Treaty would find a decisive response.

“Threats to stop our water. If you try such movement, Pakistan will show you a lesson that you will never forget,” he said while heading to an event on International Youth Day in Islamabad on Tuesday.

He stressed that the water was crucial for the survival of Pakistan and that the country would not compromise its rights under international agreements.

Sharif also reflected on the recent military achievement against India, remembering the victory of May 10 when the Pakistan armed forces successfully demolished six Indian combat planes. “A new Pakistan has emerged after Pakistan’s armed forces defeated India,” he said, calling him a historical moment for the nation.

He added that the pride of India was “sunk” on May 10, one day that would be remembered in Pakistan’s military history.

In addition, the Prime Minister launched two key initiatives during the International Youth Day ceremony: the scheme of interest without interest for possible foreign workers and the program ‘laptops for all’.

The prime minister announced the distribution of 100,000 free laptops to talented students throughout Pakistan for merit, as part of the broader commitment of the government with youth empowerment through digital access and education.

He stressed that the distribution would cover the four provinces, the Federal Capital, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He assured that the process would be carried out transparently, without favoritism or nepotism.

“These laptops will be completely distributed.

The prime minister used the occasion to highlight the importance of young people in the construction of the nation and urged them to take advantage of the spirit of national resilience and hard work. “Pakistan’s future is in the hands of his youth,” he said.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also extended his congratulations to La Nación before Independence Day, while recognizing the vital contributions of minorities and all the segments of society in the creation and development of Pakistan.

He took the opportunity to honor the people of the minority communities, recognizing their contributions in several sectors with special awards at the ceremony.
