- A new video on YouTube shows a PC for diatism -hand games that use a NVIDIA RTX 4090 GAMING LAPTOP GPU GPU
- It has a 4K 60Hz screen, 64 GB of RAM and 4 TB of storage space
- It is a sign that hand games pc could be more powerful than current main models
The NVIDIA RTX 5000 series GPUs remain in the center of attention after its launch in January, and the Super Model GPUs are expected to arrive at the end of this year. However, the GPUs of the laptop of the previous generation have been used unexpectedly, and points to the possibility of more powerful portable games.
As reported by Notebookckck, Nittrx has exhibited a Custom DIY Hand games on YouTube, running multiple triple-a games in 4K in high configurations, using a portable GPU RTX 4090. Yes, you read it well, and it is working together with the Core i9 14900hx of Intel, a powerful processor of 24 cores and 32 threads.
Now, that can instantly lift some red flags on thermal, battery life and energy consumption, but as the screen capture shows below, there is adequate cooling; The GPU temperature of the RTX 4090 laptop computer remains mainly at 162f / 72c, while the CPU fluctuates between 151f and 158f, or 66c and 70c.
Having tried a decent PC number for MSI, Lenovo and Asus hand games, I can say that the thermal performance of this DIY hand computer is very similar to that of the main devices. All this is while it houses 4 TB of storage through two SSD of 2 TB and 64 GB of RAM through two 32 GB sticks, all which should contribute to higher temperatures, but those temperatures are not close to what would be considered excessive.
It is also worth noting that this hand computer is using a 12.5 -inch 4K 60Hz Dell (specifically the Sharp LQ125D1), but the frame speeds that reach the triple digits in the game tests really show what the GPU of the RTX 4090 laptop shows. It is possibly the best pc for hand games that will see for a while.
This shows that it is no longer about whether 4K hand games are possible or not. Now it’s whether PC manufacturers for hand games are willing to make the jump and design more powerful hand games, which would probably go to a niche audience, depending on prices.
ANALYSIS: These are the laptops that should have premium prices, not the new AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme models
I have been quite vocal about my frustration with the PC for hand games and the sudden increase of its prices, without great performance on the previous hardware to justify it. We are seeing that this happens with the new MSI Claw A8 that is close to $ 1,000, despite the first reference points that suggest a minimum yield increase of 10% in games using the new Ryzen Z2 Extreme of AMD processor, compared to the Ryzen Z1 Extreme.
The only laptops with possible high price labels that can be justified are the Ayane Flip 1s DS, which uses the powerful Ryzen HX 370 processor of AMD AMD AMD; The Lenovo Legion Go 2, mainly due to the addition of an OLED screen; And, of course, this RTX 4090 hand -made computer.
Unfortunately, I do not see any of the conventional hand games pc manufacturers that get any idea of this DIY settings. Producing such devices would require many durability tests, and the resulting hand computers would essentially rival laptops for larger -scale games.
A 12.5 -inch screen is also undesirable, which I have previously said about the Acer Nitro Blaze 11, and I still have that opinion about this DIY device, although it is much more tolerable given the hardware and the available resolution.
I would love to see that a device like this is replicated by a conventional manufacturer, and if there is something that we should remove from this DIY project, it is that 4K hand games are not impossible after everything.
