Andre Agassi opens on Grand Slam’s hopes of players born in the United States

More than two decades have passed since an American male tennis player won a Grand Slam, but Andre Agassi believes that drought could end soon.

Agassi and Andy Roddick took home a Grand Slam in 2003, but the United States has appeared empty since then.

Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have assumed the sport, rewriting the history books in the process. Pete Sampras won the 14 Grand Slams before those three even won the first.

Since then, all they have done is Sop By Sampras. Federer has 20, Nadal 22 and Djokovic 24.

It has been nothing more than the domain of non -Americans since 2003, and Sinner and Alcaraz have won each of the last five Grand Slams, but Agassi believes that a change occurs soon.
