The president of the PPP and the former Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, urged the international community to play their role in the negotiation of a high immediate fire as the military confrontation of Iran and Israel threatens to get out of control, warning that the world “cannot allow this conflict to become Iraq 2.0 or the Second World War.”
When heading to a press conference in Brussels along with a parliamentary delegation, Bilawal expressed concern about the growing regional instability and the possible consequences for neighboring countries. “We certainly don’t want the war against our borders,” he said.
“Pakistan has condemned the attacks that took place in recent days in our neighboring country, and we will continue to advocate for peace at all our borders, either with Afghanistan, Iran or India.”

Criticizing what he called global failure to resolve diplomatically conflicts, he said: “It has become too easy to fight a war every month. What is wrong with this generation? It was supposed to protect us from the scourge of war through dialogue and diplomacy. On the other hand, the large -scale war has become the predetermined stage for any dispute.”
Highlighting the generational consequences of war, he added: “It is much easier for greater generations to begin these conflicts, but it is my generation that will have to collect the pieces.”
Asking for the restriction in the Middle East, the former Foreign Minister said: “I absolutely call the international community that plays its role in imposing a high fire in this Iranian conflict with the forces of occupation in Palestine. Regarding regional problems, Bilawal reiterated the desire of Pakistan of lasting peace in southern Asia, especially through the resolution of the long background dispute and water -related problems with India. He said that Pakistan had consistently sought peace through compound dialogue, but India had not corresponded.
“The international community must take a step forward and interact with India. Military confrontation is not a solution to Kashmir’s dispute or terrorism. Dialogue is the only way to follow,” he emphasized, calling him a “moral obligation” so that world powers help both countries to return to the negotiating table.
The president of the PPP warned that the escalation between two nuclear weapons states was not an option. “The climb is not a solution to the problems that India and Pakistan face,” he said.
He also criticized India for unilaterally suspending the Treaty of the Water of the Indo (IWT), qualifying it as a direct threat to Pakistan’s survival. “This is the first water war between two nuclear powers. Pakistan considers him a war without option and seeks the help of the international community in this regard.”

Referring to the situation in India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk), Bilawal said Pakistan had offered impartial investigations on incidents such as Pahalgam’s attack, but India refused. He urged the United Nations to place the Kashmir dispute at the top of his agenda, since he had remained unsolved for decades.
“The Jammu and Kashmir dispute must be resolved according to the resolutions of the UN Security Council,” he said. Bilawal was flanked by members of the parliamentary delegation, including the Federal Minister for Climate Change, Dr. Musadik Malik, the PPP senator, Sherry Rehman, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar, the former Minister of Defense, Khurram Dastgir, and others.
“We are here to present Pakistan’s position on recent tensions with India and expose the New Delhi Anti-Pakistan agenda,” Bilawal concluded.
