ISLAMABAD:
Deputy Prime Minister and External Affairs Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday expressed grief and sadness over the death of former Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and extended his condolences to the Singh family as well as the government and people of India.
In a post on his X account, Dar made special mention of Singh’s commitment to promoting regional peace and his notable role in improving relations between Pakistan and India during his tenure as prime minister.
He said Singh’s approach towards regional issues reflected his belief in mutual understanding, dialogue and cooperation for collective progress.
