Amazon Prime Day is just around the corner and headphones will be flying out of Amazon warehouses like the best brownies at a bake sale, and if the best models sell out, the deal-hungry public will flock to competing retailers.

But I want you to be first in line when the deals come, and that It means knowing how to separate the wheat from the chaff. Stick with me and you’ll never stray into a set of obscure (but very lavishly packaged) cans that turn out to be pieces released in 2019 that still sport Bluetooth 4.1 and no app to speak of.
Look, I’m being harsh because I want you to have good products. The ones I list here are, in fact, the best. And because Amazon Prime Day is one of the biggest sales events on the tech calendar, there will likely be some discounts (not a sure thing, you’ll understand… but it’s likely).
What follows are my three best noise-cancelling headphones for iPhone, Android, and audiophiles, along with my pricing tips. Know this now and bookmark the product page for the next few days. You got this!
Aren’t you looking for cans to eliminate noise? That’s okay: Check out TechRadar’s early Prime Day roundup for the best tech deals.
1. The bubble of silence for iPhone users
You may not want to hear this because, trust me, I know that Apple’s second-generation over-ear headphones launched in March 2026, without any major redesigns that we would have expected.
Here’s the thing: you won’t care once they’re on. This is because the ANC is far better this time. I know this because I reviewed them for TechRadar, and their noise-removing performance is astonishing and head-shaking: ‘No, has to you have lowered your voice, come on‘ good. Actually.
Also great is the new Conversation Awareness feature, which picks up your voice to reduce all other sounds and enable important conversation much faster than competing options I’ve tested.
Why are they so good? It’s their new H2 chip and its computational magic. They also have more sonic impact and the added goodies (live translation, adaptive audio, head gesture control and remote camera control function, in short) work seamlessly and with minimal button presses to get there.
As long as you have an iPhone 15 Pro or later (i.e. something that supports Apple Intelligence), these features can’t be beat. These are the headphones I use daily. And it’s not even close.
Launch price: $549 / £499 (March 2026)
Prices to look for on Prime Day:
US: $399 now available!
UK: As above, look for a saving of 10% (or £449) during Prime Day
2. The Mute Set for Android Owners (which is also device agnostic)
And now, something a little cheaper and a little older, although the September 2025 release date still makes them completely relevant and modern, even in the fast-paced worlds of Bluetooth audio and wireless headphones.
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones (2nd generation) are my second most used devices when I need to isolate myself from the world. I pick them up whenever I want to listen in ‘cinema’ mode (within the ‘immersive’ audio offering), but my source material is from Tidal, for example, because unlike Apple’s AirPods, these headphones will give you premium dynamic content with head tracking, regardless of the source device or streaming platform.
And while you’ll also get Lossless from the previous AirPods Max 2, being able to connect the QuietComfort Ultra earbuds (2nd generation) to a music source for truly high-resolution audio quality isn’t something to look down on either; Oh, and you also get aptX Adaptive for better quality over Bluetooth, which we loved in our full review of the Bose QCU (2nd Gen) headphones.
Well, the option below this product (and the one above, although it is much closer) will give you slightly More detail and a truer neutrality in your music. But in terms of noise cancellation at this price, these Bose headphones are still unrivaled nine months after their launch. Bose basically wrote the book on ANC in the 1970s, and the QuietComfort Ultra headphones (2nd generation) are more than worthy of their story.
Launch price: $449 / £449 / AU$699 (September 2025)
Prices to look for on Prime Day:
USA: its lowest price in history has just been seen: $379
UK: £399 is the lowest offer seen in the UK (but keep your eyes peeled!)
3. The isolation chamber for picky audiophiles
Do you want class-leading sound? as well as A nearly class-leading ANC? You really should give the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 S2 your full attention, as we said in our five-star Bowers & Wilkins Px8 S2 review.
When I want wireless listening that is the closest to wired listening I’ve ever heard, with very good noise cancellation performance, I choose these. Plus, these are by far the nicest headphones I’ve ever used. They are a stylish and timeless over-ear headphone, and there is no doubt about it, but they were also released in September 2025, like the Bose option above.
The B&W are the most expensive headphones in what is not a roundup of offers, I admit, but again, I ruthlessly selected my favorite headphones for this missive. They’re the only can sets I’d recommend splurging on this Prime Day, because I can personally attest to their talents.
Honestly, you tend to get what you pay for in audio, and here you get aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless support, with the option to listen via USB-C cable as well. Regardless of how you choose to listen, I could wax lyrical about the sound quality for days. Just be careful when using them on public transportation, because I’ve missed my stop more times than I’d like to admit while using these headphones.
Launch price: $799 / £629 (September 2025)
Price to look for on Prime Day:
US: Anything under $749 (or 6% off) would be the new lowest price seen
UK: Anything under £629 would be the lowest new rate seen (so stay tuned!)
