Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has ended negotiations with the government for failing to form a judicial commission within the agreed seven-day deadline, according to PTI Chairman Lawyer Gohar Ali Khan.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar told reporters after a meeting in prison that Khan decided to call off talks as the government remains inactive in forming commissions related to the events of May 9 and November 26.

“The government promised to form a commission within seven days, but failed to fulfill it,” Gohar said.

Meanwhile, Rana Sanaullah, advisor to the prime minister, said the government’s negotiating team would soon provide a written response to the PTI’s demands.

Opposition leader Omar Ayub Khan had also warned that without concrete steps in the committees, future negotiations would be futile.
